I read it and wanted to get excited just because its BK but... it sounds pretty grim to me. The Ashworths
Lydia
Gilly's pointless and unconvincing crush on Steph
Cindy and Tony
Bonnie Tyler and Carmel
Oh Bryan

Caught tonight's E4 and they were setting it up for Sarah to go to the boot camp with Fernando, Steph and Gilly. Fernando said she could take someone with her and she chose Zoe not Lydia who tried to look on menacingly at the end but failed miserably. Surely that can't be Loui's exit from the main show
It's fairly obvious (even without the spoilers
) that Sarah is the one who cops it in the parachute jump disaster as Zoe supposedly doesn't leave on screen until the end of the year and Loui has already left to run her pub with Simon. Presumably Lydia frames Zoe for tampering with the kit? Not sure I'll even bother watching it to tell you the truth. Might watch the other HO Specialon 2nd October though.

Is there another HO Special? I seriously doubt I can watch it either - only loyalty to BK and Loui and the echoes of Sarahs character would make me even try but the sound of the rest of the shite I'd have to sit through puts me off. The Ashworths. GOD theyre boring. And Tony and Cindy?
Though I suppose its something that its not the schoolkids again.
The parachute thing should sound good but it doesnt. Lydia so crazed with love for sarah that she's going to cut her own parachute cords? Is the relationship really that intense?
And when the chutes are mixed up she doesnt think to mention it?
The thing is too that I never ever bought Sarah as a lesbian. There was no build up, no sign or clue, no really in-depth friendship the way JPC was built. It was just having slept with Zoe once,'Im gay' - not even bi. Utter shite. And Lydia makes the SL impossibly worse because she's such a crap actress she rivals even Beth (remember her?
) And to me she looks distractingly like a cute rodent with a good haircut. I shouldnt say that should I?
But she does!

I think Jan must mean the HO Good/Bad/Gorgeous prog (the one that'll surely be including some JPC!) that's on straight after the last HO:L! And on HO:L... I believe Daran Little is writing the first one. He tends to, in his scripts, have a good feel for the history of shows and their characters (Corrie being the one to note there).

Daran Little is writing one of the HO:L's???? If so it could be worth a look! But I thought he'd left Lime long since?

Yeah, apparently he's indeed writing the opener. It was mentioned on DS, though I don't know how the info was found out. He's also now made a return to the Corrie writing team after quite a while away. He's such a talented writer.

In that case I might give it a try - Daran is a great writer. Yes I was referring to the Good/Bad/Gorgeous show - apparently Mr C makes an appearance so worth watching just for him, let alone any JPC that is featured in the "romance" section

I'll try to watch ;'The Good The Bad' show then def! And maybe I'll give Daran Littles ep a go too. He must be freelance then... if he's doing Corrie and Lime... Personally it felt to me that once Daran left the writing and storylining of the show went to shit anyway... early-mid 2008 was about the time it all plummetted downhill.

Jan, please record "the Good, The bad", if you get a chance. In case it doesn't get put up anywhere else.
About HOL, Kris Green on DS seems to have really liked it. Chloe (JJBB from DS) said on Facebook that she's halfway through number one and was pretty bored.
The parachute death story sounds a bit like Niall snuffing it - one spectacular death per HOL.

Eeek didnt see your post til now Missa!
I think its turned out just like that from what I read on DS. I just watched last night's after being urged to do so by text and...I dont know. I didnt think much of the drugs story (Hannah just annoys me now sadly
) or the Tony/Cindy one though they were still head and shoulders above normal HO and made me miss BK something chronic! But the parachute one...
Sarah's dead! I'm amazingly upset about it, even if it hadnt been so terrifyingly graphic and traumatic to watch. Its just that Sarah was still part of McDean - to me anyway - and now very finally out of the picture
Loui actually gave a really interesting interview about her exit, her lesbian storyline and the effect of Mcdean on Sarah. Its just so sad. Even down to the long term effect of Craig and JP on Sarah.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a1793 ... rview.html
Did Sarah really get over Craig?
"Probably not. I don't think she got over Rhys, either. Craig more so, though. He absolutely destroyed her happiness and belief in men. Her relationship with Craig was going to be her life and she put so much effort into it, emotionally and physically, and it completely destroyed her. I think that's why the storyline worked so well with Zoe and Lydia.
"I think with Craig it was both the fact that he went off with someone else while he was with her and the fact that he went off with another boy. John Paul was one of her best friends, Craig was her fiancé and he was seeing him while he was engaged to her. John Paul was her confidante and she thought they were best friends - it's hard to say which part made more of an impact on her. It was all just one horrible experience. It was the betrayal from both of them."
On a brighter note though - she has high-profile-sounding work already! How did she do that????

Jesus that death was a bit graphic - especially the awful thud when she hit the deck! I burst into tears at Mike's reaction to the news.
Have to say I agree that the rest of it has been a bit meh - but as you say way better than the main show although I am looking forward to seeing the repurcussions for Zoe and Nico's stunt stuff for the suicide pact with Rae.
Finn Jones (Jamie) said on his Twitter that he had been approached about appearing on the main show too, dunno if that will come to anything - he is quite pretty to look at
