Guy's Biography
Guy was born in London on 8th August 1983, and is an only child.
Educated at Holland Park School where he became interested in drama after taking part in a number of theatrical productions, Guy is also a talented footballer and attended Queens Park Rangers Soccer School and has previously taken part in trials for the Israeli national football team before returning to London to finish off his A levels Including Drama and Theatre.
As well as playing football Guy is a keen boxer and is involved in amateur boxing.
After appearing in a number of short films he secured an agent.
He joined long-running Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks' in 2002 after auditioning just twice for the role and quickly became one of the shows most popular characters. He modestly credited his early success in getting the role to his similiarity in looks to his fellow cast member Jodi Albert (on-screen sibling Debbie Dean).
However, during his 5 year run as a cast member, his position as an extremely talented young actor has been solidified, and his most recent storylines, in particular the poignant but doomed love story between his character Craig Dean and best friend John-Paul McQueen (actor James Sutton) have allowed his abilities as an actor to shine through. Guy managed to bring warmth, depth and sensitivity to a character who was not always easy to sympathise with and created a convincing on-screen chemistry with co-star James Sutton which fans of the show adored .
Always honest, Guy admitted to having reservations about the storyline at first, but relished the challenge it presented him and enjoyed pushing himself in the role, crediting producer Bryan Kirkwood with turning him into an actor at last. Both the storyline and the two talented actors involved have gained huge critical praise from the British media and fans of the show, as well as gaining numerous award nominations, including a recent win at the Stonewall Awards for Broadcast of the Year. As a result, Guy has been (reluctantly for the very private actor) thrown into the spotlight, gaining new fans both here in the UK and much further afield.
Guy left Hollyoaks in August 2007, much to the dismay of his fans, and whilst he hasnt ruled out a return to the show in the future, admitting he'd love to come back for a one-off (producer Bryan Kirkwood confirmed the door has been left completely open for a return), he is ready to face new challenges in both his career and private life. He is currently taking time out to travel, audition for new roles and try new projects, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. His interest in boxing led him to direct a feature documentary on WBU featherweight title holder Derry Matthews and he has also made a Rock Film on Steve Dior.
In his own words 'I'm attempting it all and I've got nothing holding me back at the moment, I'm just going to try everything'.
And we wish him all the luck and success in the world.
